NDIS Cleaning Gold Coast

What is NDIS Cleaning?

NDIS cleaning is a support service under the National Disability Insurance Scheme that helps participants maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home. Support may include vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, emptying bins, and changing bed linen.

Cleaning assistance is provided based on the participant’s individual needs and goals outlined in their NDIS plan. Services are designed to support daily living, reduce health risks, and create a comfortable living space.

At SS Disability Care, cleaning is delivered with consistency, respect, and a focus on promoting independence and wellbeing in everyday home environments.

Our NDIS Cleaning Services on the Gold Coast

Support with everyday cleaning

We help with routine tasks like vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, taking out rubbish, and light tidying. Whether support means working alongside the participant or handling tasks independently, we adjust based on what’s most useful day to day.

Bathroom and toilet hygiene

We clean showers, toilets, sinks, and tiled areas to support a safe and sanitary space. Our team works carefully and efficiently, with attention to detail and respect for how the home is managed.

Kitchen area cleaning

We assist with keeping kitchen spaces clean and functional—wiping benches, sinks, and stovetops, and helping maintain a safe area for food preparation and daily use.

Laundry and bedding changes

Support includes putting on loads of washing, hanging clothes to dry, folding, and changing sheets. We help where needed and always aim to make the process smooth and comfortable.

One-off or short-term cleaning support

We also assist during times of change—such as returning home from hospital, settling into new accommodation, or managing after a busy period. The goal is to help participants feel back in control of their space.

Tailored cleaning that fits your schedule

Cleaning support can be arranged regularly or as needed. We plan around each participant’s routine and support plan to make sure visits are convenient, consistent, and low-stress.

NDIS Cleaning FAQs

NDIS cleaning is about supporting the participant’s daily living, not just ticking off a list of chores. Our support workers understand disability-related needs, respect boundaries, and work at a pace that suits the participant. We’re not there to rush through a job — we’re there to help make the home feel clean, manageable, and comfortable in a way that fits the person’s lifestyle and capacity. That can mean working alongside them or providing full assistance when needed.

Our support is flexible and based on what the participant wants help with. Some may only need support with specific tasks like mopping or bathroom cleaning, while others might want help with most household cleaning. We take the time to understand each person’s preferences, and we adjust our role depending on how much support is needed. If something changes over time — more support or less — we adjust accordingly.

Cleaning support can be scheduled as often as your plan allows — this could be weekly, fortnightly, or on a flexible basis. Some participants need regular ongoing support, while others request occasional visits after hospital stays or during busy periods. We work with you and your plan coordinator (if you have one) to find a schedule that fits both your needs and your available funding.

Cleaning services usually fall under Assistance with Daily Living, which is part of your Core Supports budget. It covers tasks that help you manage everyday life and maintain your home. If you’re unsure whether your plan includes this, we can help you review the details and check with your support coordinator or plan manager to clarify what’s available.

A support worker arrives at your home at the scheduled time and begins by checking in with you to see what you’d like help with that day. We follow the agreed list of tasks — for example, vacuuming the lounge, wiping down the kitchen, and cleaning the bathroom. If you’re home and prefer to be involved, we work together. If not, we carry out the tasks with care and check in when needed. Our goal is to leave your space clean and make sure you feel comfortable throughout the visit.

At SS Disability Care, we offer more than just cleaning support. Our team provides a wide range of NDIS services designed to help participants live independently, feel supported, and stay connected to their community. All services are tailored to individual needs, routines, and goals.
