NDIS cleaning is a support service under the National Disability Insurance Scheme that helps participants maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home. Support may include vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, emptying bins, and changing bed linen.
Cleaning assistance is provided based on the participant’s individual needs and goals outlined in their NDIS plan. Services are designed to support daily living, reduce health risks, and create a comfortable living space.
At SS Disability Care, cleaning is delivered with consistency, respect, and a focus on promoting independence and wellbeing in everyday home environments.
We help with routine tasks like vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, taking out rubbish, and light tidying. Whether support means working alongside the participant or handling tasks independently, we adjust based on what’s most useful day to day.
We clean showers, toilets, sinks, and tiled areas to support a safe and sanitary space. Our team works carefully and efficiently, with attention to detail and respect for how the home is managed.
We assist with keeping kitchen spaces clean and functional—wiping benches, sinks, and stovetops, and helping maintain a safe area for food preparation and daily use.
Support includes putting on loads of washing, hanging clothes to dry, folding, and changing sheets. We help where needed and always aim to make the process smooth and comfortable.
We also assist during times of change—such as returning home from hospital, settling into new accommodation, or managing after a busy period. The goal is to help participants feel back in control of their space.
Cleaning support can be arranged regularly or as needed. We plan around each participant’s routine and support plan to make sure visits are convenient, consistent, and low-stress.
NDIS cleaning is about supporting the participant’s daily living, not just ticking off a list of chores. Our support workers understand disability-related needs, respect boundaries, and work at a pace that suits the participant. We’re not there to rush through a job — we’re there to help make the home feel clean, manageable, and comfortable in a way that fits the person’s lifestyle and capacity. That can mean working alongside them or providing full assistance when needed.
Our support is flexible and based on what the participant wants help with. Some may only need support with specific tasks like mopping or bathroom cleaning, while others might want help with most household cleaning. We take the time to understand each person’s preferences, and we adjust our role depending on how much support is needed. If something changes over time — more support or less — we adjust accordingly.
Cleaning services usually fall under Assistance with Daily Living, which is part of your Core Supports budget. It covers tasks that help you manage everyday life and maintain your home. If you’re unsure whether your plan includes this, we can help you review the details and check with your support coordinator or plan manager to clarify what’s available.
At SS Disability Care, we offer more than just cleaning support. Our team provides a wide range of NDIS services designed to help participants live independently, feel supported, and stay connected to their community. All services are tailored to individual needs, routines, and goals.
